UNARMED SECURITY OFFICERS

We are seeking UNARMED SECURITY OFFICERS to become an integral part of our team in the Montclair area. The selected individual will secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.

As Needed Full-Time, Monday through Thursday 7 am to 6 pm. (11 hours per day}

Due to the nature of the position, you will be required to take a working lunch on site.

$18.00 to $20.00 per hour pending on Experience & Qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Directing customers and visitors to Customer Service and Payments entrance.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.
• Identify persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes.
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.

​Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• A Valid Guard Card issued by the State of California is required for immediate hire.
• All additional required permits must be up to date. (I.E. Batton, Pepper Spray, etc.)
• A Valid California Driver’s License is required.
• All employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of the Form I-9 verification process.
• You must be available to work any shift (s) any day of the week including Holidays, weekends and overtime as needed or required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have reliable communication (Cell Phone with internet access) and be Smartphone and Computer Literate.
• You must be able to stand, sit and walk for duration of your work shift.
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields a plus.
• Familiarity with security equipment.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong attention to detail.

PRIVATE SECURITY requires at least 8 hours of sleep prior to assuming the duties of an Security Officer, employees cannot work another job on the same day they are scheduled to work a shift.
