Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional, alert, and visible armed security presence
- Protect residents, guests, employees, and assigned property
- Deliver exceptional customer service in English and Spanish
- Control access and verify residents, visitors, vendors, and deliveries
- Monitor entrances, surveillance cameras, and assigned checkpoints
- Conduct foot, vehicle, and property patrols
- Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns
- Respond calmly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- De-escalate conflicts using professional communication and sound judgment
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity reports
- Follow all post orders, emergency procedures, and use-of-force policies
- Maintain proper control and security of all equipment and firearms
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and property management
- Protect the confidentiality and privacy of residents and guests
Candidate Requirements
- Active Florida Class D Security License
- Active Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License
- Current Class G firearms certification and 9mm qualification
- Must own a legally acquired, duty-ready 9mm firearm
- Firearm must meet company requirements and pass inspection before assignment
- Must be bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish
- Previous armed-security experience strongly preferred
- Professional appearance and excellent customer-service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication in English and Spanish
- Sound judgment, integrity, and attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to use a smartphone and basic computer systems
- Availability to work weekends and holidays when scheduled
- Valid government-issued identification and authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to pass all required background and pre-employment screenings
