The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 6th Grade Teacher to join our team for the current academic year. This position is ideal for an educator who excels in small-group settings and enjoys leading a comprehensive core curriculum—including English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies—to create a rich, cohesive learning experience for 6th grade students.

Schedule

• Part-Time: Monday through Thursday.
• Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
• Fridays off!

Key Responsibilities

• Instructional Leadership: Design and deliver engaging, integrated ELA and History lessons tailored to a diverse group of 30–40 students.
• Small Class Management: Leverage our small class sizes to provide high-level differentiation and support for students with Individualized Learning Plans.
• Curriculum Design: Create rigorous, standards-aligned coursework that encourages critical thinking and historical discourse.
• Classroom Culture: Maintain a safe, respectful, and organized classroom environment reflecting Christian values.
• Assessment & Communication: Track student progress through formative and summative assessments and maintain professional, timely communication with parents.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, History, or Education Preferred
• Certification: Valid State Teaching Certification for Secondary Education (Junior High or High School) is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience teaching at the secondary level is a plus.
• Values: Ability to work effectively within a Christian school environment and integrate faith-based principles into instruction.
• Skills: Strong classroom management, proficiency with educational technology, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Clearance: Must be able to pass a mandatory criminal background check and fingerprinting.

Physical Requirements
