Duties
- Safely operate trucks, including trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Deliver freight to local customers following designated routes while adhering to schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols related to manual transmission operation and specialized equipment handling
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on local route driving and delivery operations
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely
- Knowledge of different trailer types such as trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
- Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Capable of managing multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining punctuality
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
