Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Manager to support federal government programs by overseeing data governance, quality, and lifecycle management. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security across enterprise systems while supporting mission-critical initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings experience in data management frameworks, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate business and technical requirements into effective data solutions within regulated and compliance-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise data assets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with federal standards
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices
- Oversee data lifecycle processes including data creation, storage, usage, and archival
- Support data integration, migration, and transformation initiatives across systems
- Ensure data security and privacy in alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with IT, security, and business stakeholders to align data strategies with organizational goals
- Monitor data quality and implement continuous improvements
- Provide documentation for data architecture, processes, and standards
- Support RFP/RFI/RFQ responses with data-related solutions
- Assist with audits and compliance efforts related to data management
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or data analytics
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data in enterprise environments
- Familiarity with data tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, data warehouses, ETL tools, cloud data services)
- Experience supporting federal government or other regulated environments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Active or ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred Experience
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP)
- Experience in Managed Services, consulting, or enterprise IT environments
