Job Overview
Family is seeking a Youth Mentor to guide and support our family member who has occasional mood and emotional disregulation. Background in working with families and comfortable with de-escalating situations in the home.
Duties
- Accompany family at home
- Stay in the home throughout the day and assist as needed
- Bring family member to an activity
- Provide friendly support to household
- Assist with healthy living and exercise
- Assist with homework
- Assist with executive functioning skills
- Assist family member with creating a resume, applying for jobs
- Throw football or Lacrosse ball
- Practice road driving with permit holder
- Encourage effective communication skills to enhance interactions within the family.
- Engage in activities such as Clash Royale, Fortnite, Skateboarding, going to the mal
Requirements
- Familiarity with various types of therapy
- College education or ongoing education preferably in social work
- Strong communication skills
- Vibrant personality
- High energy
- Good sense of humor
- Must be comfortable with idle time
- Occasionally long days
