What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Trainer + Family Assistant position at Private Home?
We’re looking for a high-agency, warm, and disciplined individual to support both personal performance and family operations in a private household.
This is a unique, long-term role combining:
- Personal training & wellness coaching
- Hands-on family assistance and daily logistics
You’ll play a key role in helping two busy parents operate at a high level while keeping day-to-day life running smoothly.
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Lexington, MA, with a generally consistent schedule and some flexibility depending on the family’s needs.
You’ll operate across two core areas:
1. Personal Performance (Fitness & Energy)
- Design and lead structured workouts (strength, conditioning, mobility)
- Build and maintain consistent routines and accountability
- Support nutrition habits and overall wellness
- Help optimize:
- Energy
- Recovery
- Long-term health
This is a high-touch role—consistency and follow-through matter more than complexity.
2. Family & Lifestyle Operations
- Manage scheduling, errands, and day-to-day logistics
- Help coordinate activities, appointments, and household needs
- Provide light-touch support with young children when needed (e.g., helping transitions, being an extra set of hands)
- Anticipate needs and reduce friction in daily life
- Create simple systems to keep things organized and running smoothly

Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in personal training
- College educated
- Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $80,000 – $100,000
- Health insurance (monthly stipend)
- Paid time off (10 days/year pro-rated)
- Meals during working hours
