Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to children ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to each child's dietary needs and preferences
- School pick-up/drop-off and activity transportation
- Engage children in educational activities, playtime, arts and crafts, reading, and developmental exercises
- Occasional errands with light family assistance and scheduling support
- Ability to travel with family on vacations, outings, and trips to provide childcare supervision and activities
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks related to children’s belongings and play areas
- Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, diapering, and nap times
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing personalized care plans and working closely with parents or specialists
- Administer basic first aid or CPR in case of emergencies while following safety protocols
- Communicate regularly with parents about daily activities, milestones, and any concerns or observations
Requirements
- Previous nanny, family assistant, household manager, or private household experience
- Proven experience working with children across different age groups, including infants and preschoolers
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience working in private homes and willingness to provide flexibility, professionalism, and discretion.
- Strong knowledge of childcare best practices, including toddler care, infant care, and early childhood development
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required; ongoing training is a plus
- Ability to cook nutritious meals and perform meal preparation tasks safely
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Familiarity with cleaning routines related to childcare environments to ensure hygiene standards are maintained
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with parents and team members
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward caregiving tasks
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
