About the Role
A private individual is seeking an experienced, discreet, and highly versatile General Counsel to provide comprehensive legal guidance across personal, business, and investment matters. This role requires excellent judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate with a high degree of confidentiality and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the principal legal advisor to the private individual and company held.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements, including real estate, investment, employment, and service agreements.
- Oversee personal and business legal matters such as asset protection, estate planning coordination, risk management, compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Coordinate with external law firms, accountants, advisors, and financial institutions.
- Support the legal aspects of business ventures, transactions, intellectual property matters, and personal projects.
- Ensure proper governance, document management, and legal record-keeping.
- Handle sensitive matters with total discretion and professionalism.
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent with active bar membership in Florida and Ohio ideally.
- 5 years of broad legal experience, ideally including corporate, contracts, real estate, and general advisory work.
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, or entrepreneurial principals preferred.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse range of legal matters.
