Job Title: Business Development Associate
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Relationship Management
- Manage Affinity CRM including entry of interactions, pipelines, trackers, and reporting.
- Utilize the network and tools to establish warm introductions to potential targets.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive map of the banker network/intermediaries, collaborating with coverage officers to coordinate on conferences and manage inbound investment opportunities.
- Monitor executive movements through platforms like LinkedIn and Expert Networks.
- Maintain the advisor/river guides database in partnership with the Talent team.
- Support trip planning, optimize meetings, and coordinate investor conferences.
Pipeline / Deal Database
- Keep the target pipeline updated for the respective vertical.
- Attend vertical meetings, providing updates on changes and tracking subsequent steps.
- Ensure the completion of follow-up activities related to meetings and targets.
- Monitor competitive deal activity and sponsor portfolios.
- Assist in screening target companies through preliminary evaluations, data collection, and ad hoc analyses.
- Collaborate with different business units to share best practices related to pipeline management, networks, and tools.
Marketing Support and Event Logistics
- Take ownership of updating the Global PE Marketing Compendium.
- Develop and refine vertical-specific pitch decks and maintain vertical microsites.
- Assist in planning and hosting executive events for the vertical, managing logistics, implementation, and attendee engagement.
- Provide onsite support and assistance during conferences and executive events.
Technology and Data
- Partner with Research Services, Data Science, and IT teams to identify new tools and data sources that can enhance sourcing strategies.
- Facilitate the training and implementation of new systems and tools across the Private Equity group.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Comfortable engaging a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders with an executive presence.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated self-starter mentality with strong project management capabilities and attention to detail.
- Energetic professional who can think creatively and work independently.
- Familiarity with the finance and private equity sectors.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Prior experience with CRM tools and private company origination platforms preferred
- Interest in and experience with AI use cases in business applications.
DESIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION
- 1 to 4 years of experience in business development or sales operations is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic background.
- Experience in a software company is a plus.

Salary : $75,000 - $100,000
