Responsibilities:
- Assist dermatologists with clinical procedures including biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic treatments
- Prepare and room patients, document medical histories, and record vital signs
- Set up and maintain sterile fields and procedure trays for dermatological treatments
- Educate patients on post-procedure care, skincare regimens, and treatment plans
- Manage and accurately update patient records using EMR/EHR systems
- Handle specimen collection, labeling, and coordination with pathology labs
- Support front and back office operations to ensure smooth patient flow
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on dermatology medical assisting experience required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Familiarity with dermatology procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and cosmetic injections
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and patient documentation
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in dermatology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
