We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and personable Sleep Coordinator who is excited to learn and educate patients about Sleep Disordered Breathing and it's impacts on their health. This position blends patient care, education, sales, administrative expertise, medical insurance billing and communication with healthcare providers. Your goal will be to ensure patients fully understand their treatment options, feel supported, and move confidently toward better health.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in lunch and learns and company promotional events to learn and educate patients about dangers of snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
• Assist the doctor with patient exams, device titration, and delivery while accurately documenting all clinical information.
• Review medical insurance coverage and patient financial responsibilities with patients, ensure all required paperwork is completed, and confirm patient understanding.
• Manage medical insurance processes including pre-authorization, verification, and claim submission.
• Guide patients through the dental sleep medicine workflow—screening, education, sleep study coordination, ongoing support, and follow-up—while tracking progress and re-engaging prior patients.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, providers, and team members via phone, email, and fax; respond to inquiries and resolve concerns professionally and in a timely manner.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks including data entry, reporting, and maintaining organized patient records and a clean office environment.
• Provide general patient education on sleep disorders.
• Help patients understand and complete paperwork required for submission of medical insurance claims and treatment initiation.
• Drop off referral pads with medical providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Experience with sales, medical billing, dental/medical administration, or sleep medicine preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe.
• Strong typing, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and, at times, off-site.
• Comfortable working with a variety of patients and maintaining professionalism at all times.
