company, will help maintain inventory, work across departments for purchasing needs, and fill a key
role in the overall operation and success of the company.
Duties:
- Responsible for the purchase of inventory and non-inventory items to meet business demands.
- Foster a growing relationship with current and prospective suppliers.
- Maintain inventory levels to achieve appropriate fill rate and inventory on hand.
- Able to review and adjust reorder quantities based on historical and forecasted data.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers when needed.
- Expedite product to meet schedules and prevent or reduce down time for customers.
- Work with vendors to resolve discrepancies or product issues.
- Compile and review data to evaluate supplier performance and product trends.
- Work with Mgmt. to establish best practices and processes for Purchasing and Material Control.
- Able to work in a high demand and fast-paced environment.
- Assist with freight carrier needs and relationships.
- Able to work across departments.
- Provide support for evolving business and operational needs.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Purchasing and Material Control experience required.
- College degree preferred or related experience.
- Strong ERP background and experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
