Position Summary
The Post-Procedure Support Assistant provides short-term, non-medical support to clients recovering at home following a medical or cosmetic procedure. This role focuses on household assistance, meal preparation, errands, and general daily support to promote comfort, safety, and recovery in the home environment. No skilled nursing or medical care is provided, but prior caregiving and/or medical experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with light household chores (laundry, tidying, dishes, light cleaning)
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals according to client preferences or instructions
- Assist with grocery shopping and running errands
- Provide companionship and general oversight during recovery
- Assist with mobility and safety awareness within the home (non-medical)
- Help organize the client’s environment to support comfort and recovery
- Follow the client’s post-procedure guidelines as directed (without providing medical care)
- Communicate any concerns or changes in condition to the agency supervisor or family contact
- Maintain client confidentiality and professionalism at all times

- No wound care, medication administration, injections, or medical treatments
- No clinical assessments or nursing tasks
- No physical therapy or medical advice
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in home care, personal assistance, hospitality, or household support preferred
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform light physical tasks (standing, bending, light lifting)
