Job description
Private Capital Management is a SEC-regulated investment firm based in Naples, FL. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on IT Support Technician to join our small but critical technology team as a support resource.
Basic Description
- Provide day-to-day desktop and hardware support: computer startups, configurations, and troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve networking and connectivity issues
- Manage and troubleshoot printer/print server issues across the office
- Field support calls from staff, including after-hours and weekend coverage as needed (on a rotating/on-call basis)
- Set up and configure new workstations, peripherals, and zero/thin clients through Azure
- Act as backup support to the to the firm's two experienced IT professionals, escalating complex issues appropriately
- Document recurring issues and basic troubleshooting steps
- Maintain a professional, service-oriented approach when supporting a small office of finance professionals where operations are time sensitive
Requirements
- IT support experience (help desk, desktop support, or similar)
- Solid understanding of Windows OS, basic networking (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, VPN), and printer/print server troubleshooting
- Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly over the phone
- Willingness to be available for occasional after-hours/weekend support calls
- Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, patient demeanor under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Nice to Haves
- Experience supporting a small office or financial services environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or basic PowerShell
- A or similar IT certification
- Microsoft Azure experience
