Responsibilities:
- Perform basic maintenance services including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, battery service, wiper blades, bulbs, and fluid top-offs.
- Complete entry-level inspections and document findings clearly.
- Mount, balance, and repair tires; set and verify tire pressures and torque specs.
- Assist senior technicians with light repairs and teardown/setup tasks.
- Move vehicles safely and maintain clean, organized work areas.
- Use basic scan tools to retrieve codes under guidance.
- Follow repair orders, timekeeping, and parts procedures accurately.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and PPE standards.
- Communicate with service advisors and teammates regarding status and needs.
- Support shop supply and tool inventory management.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support shop efficiency.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive coursework preferred.
- 0–2 years of dealership or shop experience (internship/co-op acceptable).
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and routine maintenance.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, lifts, tire machines, and scan tools under supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow repair documentation, safety procedures, and timekeeping standards.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/bend for long periods, and work in variable conditions.
- ASE entry-level certifications preferred or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
