Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Boom Lift Operator to join our dynamic construction and heavy equipment team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating boom lifts and other aerial work platforms to facilitate construction, maintenance, and material handling tasks on various job sites. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and ability to coordinate with team members will be essential in ensuring efficient project progress. Responsibilities
- Safely operate boom lifts, cranes, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment to perform lifting, positioning, and material handling tasks.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues immediately.
- Rig materials securely for lifting operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and project specifications.
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities by loading and unloading materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or boom trucks.
- Coordinate with construction teams to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adhering to OSHA regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and operational logs for compliance purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience operating boom lifts or aerial work platforms in a construction or industrial setting.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and boom trucks.
- Demonstrated ability to rig materials safely for lifting operations on construction sites.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred.
- Prior warehouse experience or shipping & receiving background is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards.
