Duties
- Lead and supervise construction crews on-site, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities accurately.
- Oversee quality control measures to ensure adherence to safety standards (OSHA), building codes, and client requirements.
- Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, tracking resource usage, and assisting with construction estimating and budgeting processes.
- Collaborate with project managers on contract administration, project scheduling, and managing subcontractors or vendors involved in the pipeline or heavy civil projects.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, safety incidents, material deliveries, and work progress for transparency and accountability.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in construction environments with a strong background in managing crews.
- Extensive construction site experience with a solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Knowledge of contracts administration and the ability to coordinate subcontractors effectively.
- Hands-on experience with construction site safety procedures.
