Prison Island is an international immersive entertainment concept combining action, strategy, teamwork, and challenge-based gameplay in a unique interactive environment. As we continue expanding internationally, we are seeking a passionate, organized, and entrepreneurial leader to join our founding U.S. management team.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the opening and long-term success of the first Prison Island venue in the United States while contributing to the future growth of the brand across the country.
Position Information
Position: Venue Manager
Location: Prison Island Indianapolis – Castleton Square Mall
Start Date: End of May 2026 (TBD)
Employment Type: Full-Time, 40h/week
Schedule: May vary based on business needs and may include evenings, weekends, company-designated holidays, special events, and peak operational periods.
Classification: Exempt / Salaried Position
Reports To: Head of U.S. Operations / General Management
Languages: English required (additional languages are a plus)
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $60,000 Gross Annual, paid on a salary basis, less applicable taxes, and withholdings
Performance Bonus:
The Venue Manager may be eligible to participate in an annual performance bonus program based on venue revenue, operational performance, individual performance, and other criteria established by the Company. Bonus eligibility, calculation, timing, and payment are subject to the applicable written bonus plan and company policy.
Compensation and performance reviews may be conducted periodically based on operational performance, business growth, and individual contribution.
Paid Time Off: Eligible full-time employees may receive up to twelve (12) vacation days and up to five (5) sick/personal days per calendar year, subject to company policy, eligibility, accrual rules, and proration based on hire date.
Benefits :
The Company does not currently maintain a group health insurance plan for employees. As Prison Island continues to expand its U.S. operations, the company intends to evaluate and potentially implement medical, dental, vision, and other employee benefit programs for eligible employees.
The Company does not currently maintain a 401(k) or other employer-sponsored retirement plan. As operations expand, the Company may evaluate the implementation of retirement benefit programs for eligible employees.
Any future employee benefit programs will remain subject to eligibility requirements, applicable plan documents, Company policies, and operational considerations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
- Coordinate the daily operations of the venue including reception, reservations, gameplay operations, cleaning, safety, and guest flow
- Supervise the technical maintenance and functionality of game rooms and equipment
- Manage inventory and operational ordering needs including snacks, beverages, supplies, and game materials
- Monitor KPIs and implement operational improvements to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction
2. Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, coach, and manage a dynamic operations team
- Create schedules adapted to operational needs and customer flow
- Foster a positive, professional, and motivating workplace culture
- Participate in HR-related administrative processes including onboarding, evaluations, attendance management, and employee coaching
3. Customer Experience
- Ensure exceptional guest service standards at all times
- Handle and resolve guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency
- Create an engaging and welcoming entertainment environment
- Support the development of events, promotions, group bookings, and team-building experiences
4. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash handling and operational financial procedures
- Support reporting, budgeting, and operational performance analysis
- Control operational costs and support expense optimization efforts
Work Environment & Operational Expectations
Due to the nature of the entertainment and hospitality industry, this role requires schedule flexibility and operational responsiveness.
The Venue Manager may occasionally be required to:
- Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak operational periods
- Support grand openings, special events, and operational initiatives
- Assist with future Prison Island locations or multi-site operational support when required
This role is highly operational and leadership-focused and requires strong communication, adaptability, professionalism, and problem-solving skills.
