What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Lead position at Prismier?
The Shipping Lead at Prismier owns the final step in our customer experience. This role is responsible for ensuring every order leaves our facility accurate, on time, and in pristine condition. You are not just coordinating shipments, you are leading the shipping function, setting the standard, and holding the line on quality.
This person leads day-to-day shipping operations. Will thrive in a fast-paced environment, bring structure to chaos, and take pride in getting it right the first time. You are the last set of eyes before product hits our customer’s hands, and that matters here.

What you will be doing:
- Lead and manage all outgoing shipments, both domestic and international
• Support the Packaging Associate and Driver, setting clear expectations and accountability
• Ensure all orders are packaged securely, labeled correctly, and staged for shipment on time
• Prepare and review shipping documentation including packing lists, bills of lading, and commercial invoices
• Coordinate directly with carriers to schedule pickups, track shipments, and resolve issues
• Verify all shipping details including part quantities, weights, dimensions, and customer requirements
• Own the final quality check before any product leaves the building
• Utilize ERP systems (Mie Trak Pro™ or similar) to process shipments and maintain accurate records
• Maintain organization of the shipping area, including packaging materials and inventory
• Partner closely with Customer Experience and Production to hit committed ship dates
• Troubleshoot delays or issues proactively and communicate clearly across teams
• Drive continuous improvement in shipping processes, cost efficiency, and workflow
• Ensure safety standards are followed and the shipping area remains clean and organized
What you bring along:
- 3 years of shipping, logistics, or warehouse experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Prior leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL, freight forwarders)
• High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and move with urgency in a deadline-driven environment
• Experience with ERP systems (Mie Trak or similar is a plus)
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example
• Comfortable being hands-on while also directing others
• Proficiency in basic computer systems (Microsoft Office™ and shipping platforms)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be active throughout the shift
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to become certified
