About the Role
The VP, Private Credit and Alternative Investments is responsible for managing alternative asset classes, sourcing alpha opportunities, and driving technological integration and operational excellence across the investment function. Reporting directly to the CIO, this individual will play a critical role in achieving superior returns through alternative strategies.
Responsibilities
- Oversee investment and management in private credit structures, private equity special situations, infrastructure, emerging market debt, asset-backed financing investments.
- Identify, evaluate, and source alpha-generating opportunities through partnerships, direct investments, and strategic engagements.
- Lead operational excellence initiatives, enhancing efficiency through technology integration and streamlined investment processes.
- Manage liquidity, collateral, and operational risks effectively to optimize portfolio performance and flexibility.
- Ensure comprehensive performance measurement and transparent reporting for internal and external stakeholders using Factset and other PM tools.
- Stay abreast of market developments, competitor benchmarking, and industry best practices to inform dynamic and adaptive investment strategies.
- Champion governance and compliance, maintaining robust oversight and due diligence processes for alternative investments.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and other industry professionals.
- Ensure alignment with the company's values and culture.
- Ability to travel to Bermuda and US-based Prismic locations as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in alternative investments including private equity, private credit, and specialized asset classes. Proven track record in operational leadership, technology integration, and process improvement within an investment context. Strong network in private markets, infrastructure, and specialty finance sectors. Advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Prismic is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $250,000 - $300,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on may factors including geographic location, candidate experience and skills.
