π©Ί Lead with Care: Registered Nurse (RN) - Long-Term Care Supervisor
This is a critical supervisory position for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality care in a long-term care setting. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of nursing activities and personnel during your assigned shift, ensuring full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Leadership & Administrative Responsibilities:
- Shift Supervision: Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing staff and activities for your tour of duty (7 AM β 7 PM).
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all nursing activities are carried out in strict accordance with current long-term care guidelines, standards, and regulations.
- Personnel Management: Ensure sufficient staffing (licensed nurses and CNAs) for the shift, develop work assignments, and conduct daily rounds to monitor performance.
- Policy & Procedure: Participate in developing, maintaining, and implementing written policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs for the nursing service department.
- Documentation: Complete necessary administrative duties, including medical forms, reports, accident/incident reports, and maintain accurate records of resident/facility information securely.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant DON (ADON), and other departments to ensure continuity of the residents' total care regimen
Direct Nursing Care & Resident Services:
- Resident Assessment & Care Plans: Participate in the development and review of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments and care plans for each resident, ensuring all personnel are aware of the plan.
- Physician & Family Communication: Consult with residents, families, and physicians on care planning. Notify physicians and next-of-kin promptly regarding changes in a resident's condition.
- Medication & Treatment: Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules, ensuring compliance with established procedures and physician orders.
- Direct Care: Provide direct nursing care, start IVs, obtain specimens, and monitor seriously ill residents as necessary.
Required Education & Experience:
- License: Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN license to practice in this state.
- Education: Minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: 2 years of experience as an RN, preferably in a long-term care facility.
- Specialized Knowledge: Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification is required.
- Software: Knowledge and experience with PCC (PointClickCare) preferred.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $50 β $55 per hour.
- Full-Time Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (7 AM β 7 PM).
- Part-Time Schedule: Sundays, 7 AM β 7 PM.
