🛢️ Pipeline Engineer (Contract) - Remote OSP Documentation & MAOP Validation
Location: Remote (U.S. - Houston/Dallas area preferred for occasional in-person meetings)

The Role: Ensure the Integrity of Critical Pipeline Infrastructure
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pipeline Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of pipeline experience to join our team on a long-term contract basis. You will play a crucial non-design role in ensuring the regulatory compliance and operational integrity of our pipeline assets by meticulously reviewing and validating construction documentation.
This is a remote position that requires strong commitment and excellent communication skills, particularly for collaboration with our international engineering team. The company will provide all necessary computer equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation Analysis: Meticulously review and analyze a high volume of pipeline construction documents, including as-builts, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Material Test Reports (MTRs), and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Compliance & Consistency: Ensure absolute consistency and regulatory compliance across all documentation packages for pipeline segments.
- MAOP Validation: Perform critical Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) validation calculations. (Training will be provided if required, highlighting the importance of this safety-critical task.)
- International Collaboration: Actively participate in daily morning meetings to collaborate effectively with our India-based engineering team, with flexibility in work hours post-meeting.
- Regulatory Adherence: Apply knowledge of key industry standards (ASME B31.4, B31.8, API 1104, DOT regulations) to daily tasks.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in pipeline-related fields (design, construction, operations, or maintenance).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is non-negotiable (field of study is flexible).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (basic functions required; advanced functions a plus).
- Soft Skills: Must possess strong communication, collaboration skills (especially in a cross-cultural environment), and demonstrate a stable work history.
- Commitment: Must be available for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, under a 1099 contract structure.
