What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Planner, Sr. (Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm) position at Prismatik?
Essential Functions:Collaborates with various teams to establish and schedule work packages to initiate and control production work; includes detailed instructions, drawings, bills of material, references, inspection requirements, etc.Monitors, analyzes, and reports performance; performs statistical analysis and utilizes results to schedule production and production support activities, determine manufacturing process improvements, tooling needs, and resource requirements.Ensures production status, planning, and execution are communicated to appropriate departments to ensure steady production flow.Prepares production reports and forecasts to ensure production groups are meeting shipping and/or delivery dates in accordance with sales forecasts/customer orders.Reviews requests for maintenance/repairs; coordinates machine maintenance, calibration, and repair schedules to avoid production delays.Schedules, expedites, and coordinates the delivery and movement of critical material; includes material transfers and releases, purchase orders, and/or delivery of materials.Initiates replacement orders for lost or damaged items. Monitors and directs production planning activities across Prismatik manufacturing divisions including zirconia, glass ceramics, and composites.Develops tools to provide the organization with better visibility to product availability and costs.Leads and participates in weekly or monthly production / inventory management calls with operations/sales.Builds and maintains a Planning dashboard that combines metrics for all planning areas.Monitors progress and identify risks for the masterplan in between the masterplan cycles.Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management. Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred. Minimum five (5) years experience in demand planning, production forecasting, inventory control, and purchasing.Previous experience with LEAN Enterprise or continuous improvement preferred.Previous experience with ERP and/or Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred.Pay Range: $30.00-$40.00/hr
