Job Summary: The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides focused nursing care to adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. This role emphasizes clinical assessment, rhythm interpretation, and coordination of care in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments according to clinical protocols.
- Manage ventilated patients in collaboration with respiratory therapy as needed.
- Document nursing care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Cardiac monitoring experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience
- Ventilator care experience
- EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
Certifications
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
