Essential Functions

- Coordinates, reviews, plans, updates, and implements medical nutrition therapy to patients according to established policies and procedures.
- Monitors patients receiving nutrition support.
- Provide nutrition education to patients, caregivers, staff and community partners.
- Serves as a preceptor for medical, dietetic and food service interns and/or clinical research.
- Participates and serves on interdisciplinary team meetings, patient rounds, multidisciplinary committees and/or discharge planning.
- Assist with performance and quality improvement projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
- Education - Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Experience - No previous experience required
- If hired on or prior to December 31, 2023, must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics AND Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Registered Dietitian state licensure (i.e.: SC LLR)
- Registered Dietitian licensure from the CDR
- Maintain 75 hours of continuing education every 5 years
- Ability to interpret data, teach, communicate to other healthcare professionals, manipulate numbers and write in medical record
