Evaluates, plans and administers aesthetic skin care and treatments to patients. Performs under the direct supervision of the physician. Performs professional aesthetic work of considerable difficulty including the care of clients as outlined by the protocols and policies of the department.
Essential Functions

- Performs consultations. Evaluates the condition of aesthetic skin health of patients to determine treatment protocol. Recommends individual plan/protocol for patient, including home care and maintenance of aesthetic skin health. Coordinates pre and post treatment photos and maintains these in computer database.
- Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the physician and within guidelines of written protocols. Performs within the scope of training and certifications/licensure. Performs aesthetic skin care treatments which may include: Facials: Chemical Peels; Microdermabrasion; IPL Hair Removal; IPL Therapies; Electrolysis; Fractional Laser; Waxing; Eyebrow and Lash Tinting; Micropigmentation.
- Monitors and maintains stock of aesthetic supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
- Responsible for patient safety. Maintains a safe environment to include awareness of safety procedures, protocols and adherence to patient care standards.
- Assists in medical spa education and development of future cosmetic therapies/programs.
- Participates in professional training programs and/or organizations to remain current in the industry.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
- Education - Job related course work beyond high school and successful completion and certification from accredited aesthetics program.
- Experience - Six (6) months aesthetician experience. One (1) year experience preferred.
- In lieu of education and experience noted above, a combination of five (5) years aesthetician experience and current Aesthetician license may be considered.
- Current Aesthetician License
- Knowledge of existing product lines offered by the medical spa.
- Ability to remain current on developing products/ key ingredients in the industry.
- Basic computer skills
