Packing Specialist Job Description
Prisma is seeking a motivated individual to join our shipping team. This person must be very organized, capable of establishing and following procedures and a strong communicator.
Work Schedule:
· Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
· Pack, seal and label packages for shipment
· Determine shipping priorities and work to meet schedules. Coordinate with other associates as needed
· Correspond with outside departments regarding job status and shipment tracking
· Control and monitor packing and shipping. Ensure it is performed according to procedures
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper safety methods
· Forklift and/or pallet jack experience a plus
· Maintain safe work area in a clean and orderly condition; comply with safety procedures and operating rules
· Knowledge of common warehouse practices
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
· 2 years or more shipping and packing experience
· Experience in the printing industry and with print ERP preferred.
· Must have shipping software experience (i.e FedEx, UPS)
· Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
· Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
· High school diploma or equivalent certification
· Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Lift Truck experience preferred
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Salary : $16 - $17
