PRISM is recruiting for an extra-help Meeting Planning Assistant that will work about 28 hours per week for about 4-5 months.

PRISM is a joint powers authority established in 1979 and provides coverage programs and risk management services to over 2,100 California public entities including counties, cities, schools, joint powers authorities, special districts, etc.
PRISM's risk-sharing coverage programs include workers' compensation, general liability, property, medical malpractice, and employee benefits programs. Additionally, PRISM provides 21 miscellaneous programs such as cyber, crime, aircraft, and personal lines coverages.
The Meeting Planning Assistant is responsible for administrative support for all of PRISM’s meetings and events. This position assists staff and PRISM members with travel arrangements; assists with data gathering and member communications; supports the Meeting Planners with meeting notices and logistics; assists with set-up, food prep and clean up for all in person meetings; supports meeting design and execution; enters data into various systems; configures registration pages; troubleshoots technical difficulties and sets up, hosts, coordinates and runs Zoom meetings.
This position will work in-person in our Folsom Office about 29 hours per week; T-Th, 8 hours per day, plus 5 hours on either Monday or Friday for approximately 4-5 months.

As a member of the Meeting Planning team, the Meeting Planning Assistant is focused on making our members' experiences and interactions the very best they can be. This is a support position that requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and the ability to learn quickly, think on your feet and trouble shoot issues when they arise. The ideal candidate will have meeting and event planning experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Zoom, including advanced experience in Excel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical requirements of this position typically include sitting for long periods of time, reaching, grasping, kneeling, talking, hearing, seeing, repetitive motion, exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
