Position Overview
Prism Pacific Industries is scaling its clinical engagement model and seeking a high-caliber Clinical Specialist to support the adoption and utilization of the Prism Glide patient repositioning system across leading health systems in Northern California. This is a field-based, per-diem 1099 contractor role designed for clinicians who thrive in a flexible, performance-driven environment and bring a strong blend of clinical credibility and commercial acumen.
The ideal candidate will have a background in wound care or physical therapy and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams in driving product adoption and clinical value. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy hands-on education and direct interaction with frontline staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on clinical education and product training to nursing staff, therapy teams, and other frontline caregivers
- Lead in-service sessions, skills validations, and protocol alignment to support safe patient handling initiatives
- Serve as a clinical subject matter expert on patient repositioning, pressure injury prevention, and mobility best practices
- Partner closely with sales and account management teams to support evaluations, conversions, and program expansion
- Provide at-the-elbow support during product trials and early-stage implementations to ensure successful adoption
- Capture and relay clinical insights, outcomes, and customer feedback to internal stakeholders
Preferred Background & Qualifications
- Clinical licensure (RN, PT, OT, or equivalent) required
- Strong preference for candidates with wound care (e.g., WOCN) or physical therapy background
- Prior experience working cross-functionally with sales teams, clinical specialists, or medical device reps highly preferred
- 2 years of experience in acute care, patient mobility, or safe patient handling programs
- Deep understanding of pressure injury prevention and/or early mobility protocols
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, field-based environment
Territory & Travel
- Local travel required across Northern California, with primary focus on Bay Area and Sacramento health systems
- Work conducted primarily within acute care hospital settings
Compensation & Structure
- Hourly compensation, paid per engagement
- 1099 independent contractor structure
