Credit Analyst II – Job Description
The Credit Analyst II position is responsible for aspects of credit quality in the bank’s loan portfolio while providing support to the lending staff and Chief Credit Officer.

Essential Functions
- Evaluates the degree of risk of loans including borrowers’ credit data and financial statements and prepares recommendations for the Bank’s lending committees regarding loan structures and provides supporting documentation.
- Underwrites loans for borrowers as requested in the form of technical and analytical responsibilities in gathering, spreading, and analyzing financial information, industry information, loan application, preparation, recommendation of loan structure, monitoring of covenant compliance, and review of terms.
- Prepares credit memorandums for participation loans to evaluate risk and give recommendations while corresponding with participant banks.
- Conducts syndicated and annual reviews.
- Reviews loan files for completeness as needed.
- Participates in loan committee and loan review committee meetings.
- Complies with all applicable regulations, guidelines, and bank policies.
- Demonstrates knowledge and expertise of lending practices and financial principles and supports the Company’s overall mission, standards, policies and procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assists Credit Management with projects as necessary.
- Performs other duties as required by Credit Management.
- Participates on behalf of the Bank in community and bank-sponsored activities as requested.
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions
This work is moderately active and requires the following physical activities:
- Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping, walking, sitting, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Frequent lifting (up to 35 pounds of equipment).
- Driving to company locations and other sites as needed.
- Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail
- Must be able to visually distinguish between shades of colors.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 1 year of credit analyst/underwriting experience preferred.
Reporting
This position reports to the AVP-Senior Credit Analyst.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full-Time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with business needs.
