The laboratory is headed by Dr. John Shane, PhD mycologist and nationally recognized indoor air quality expert. Our services focus on investigating indoor air quality, water testing and asbestos while offering the distinguished mold safe accuracy guarantee to our customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparation and analysis of asbestos in bulk samples
- Organizing daily workflow
- Managing timelines
- Maintaining quality control and quality assurance practices
- Data entry, reviewing reports and continued training. *Cross training opportunities available
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2-5 years of microscopic asbestos analysis, including prior training and laboratory analysis
- Strong knowledge of stereomicroscopy and polarized light microscopy
- Working knowledge of quality control measures
- Ability to adhere to ISO/IEC 17025:2019 standards as well as laboratory quality programs
- Must be able to distinguish between colors to perform analysis
- Must be able to work independently and with a team
- Must be able to work well under pressure and meet client deadlines
- Must have functional computer skills
