What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bottling Line Supervisor position at Priority Workforce?

Position Summary:
The Bottling Line Supervisor will be responsible for all operations of the bottling line, including maintaining production efficiencies, overseeing quality control for both packaging and wine, and completing required reporting and record keeping. The Supervisor will manage all staff on the line and will coordinate with and report directly to the Production Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate closely with Production Manager on all issues related to bottling.
- Bottling line operation.
- Oversee all aspects of bulk wine: receipt, bottling prep and lab work; coordinate with cellar management and lab technician.
- Programming of PLC and maintenance of customer SKU formats in the database.
- Direct supervision over staff (both full time and temps) for bottling operations.
- Complete attendance upon arrival and document.
- Review schedules & bottling work orders.
- Direct staffing requirements and assignments.
- Supervise set-up, sanitation, and operation of bottling line and supporting equipment/systems.
- Supervise and complete decolorizations at changeovers.
- Complete package testing protocols in advance of bottling.
- Review all bottling documentation and reports.
- Maintain accurate records of all production-related information.
- Maintain consumables inventory and direct ordering as needed.
- Perform HACCP verifications and maintain accurate records of all production-related paperwork.
- Monitor implementation of all certification and safety standards.
- Oversee QC on the line for both wine and packaging quality.
- Isolate and implement correction of any QC issues on the line.
- Interface with Production Manager to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently.
- Update the Operations Team on the status of the schedule.
- Hire, train, develop, motivate, reward, and discipline assigned staff; ensure staff follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Ensure the highest level of housekeeping, orderliness, cleanliness, and appearance of the bottling lines at all times.
- Provide proper support and oversight to ensure the highest levels of customer service, quality, production, and efficiency.
- Authorized and responsible for stopping all operations at any time to ensure that non-conforming products are isolated, identified, recorded, and reworked or released as needed.
- Recommend hiring decisions, handle disciplinary action, and assist the Production Manager with yearly appraisals.
- Assist with wine receiving scheduling and winemaking work orders.
- Assist with materials inbound scheduling.
- Assist with finished goods outbound scheduling.

- Forklift certification required (clamp experience and propane).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.

- Strong judgment and ability to make sound decisions.
- Bilingual – ability to read/write English required.
Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
