Job Purpose
In your role as the Municipal Relations Representative, you will be responsible for managing and strengthening business relationships within the municipal market. This role oversees contract negotiations, ensures compliance with agreed terms, and supports clients by providing accurate pricing, credit information and bid specifications. The position focuses on maintaining strong client partnerships while identifying opportunities to support organizational growth and fulfill additional projects as assigned
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manages business relationships for the municipal market
- Negotiates pricing and contracts; ensure contract terms are met
- Develops and maintain relationships with existing clients
- Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients
- Other duties or projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate profile includes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
- 2 years of sales, account management, or customer relationship experience, preferably within B2B or municipal markets.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new software and internal systems.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must be willing to travel
