Position Overview
The Tree Climber will perform all aspects of residential tree care, including pruning, removals, and rigging, while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position is ideal for an experienced, self-motivated professional who values proper technique, teamwork, and ongoing growth within the company. Our company is heavily invested in equipment, including spider lifts and bucket trucks. Climbing is just a portion of this role as the majority of jobs are accessed via equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential tree pruning and removals using modern, industry-approved climbing and rigging methods.
- Conduct spikeless pruning to preserve tree health.
- Operate and maintain chainsaws, aerial lifts, bucket trucks, and chippers safely and efficiently.
- Follow all ANSI Z133 and company safety protocols.
- Inspect trees for structural issues, disease, and potential hazards.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Communicate effectively with the crew and clients to ensure quality and safety.
Qualifications
- 3 years of professional climbing experience in residential tree care.
- Proficiency with modern climbing systems (SRT/DRT) and safe rigging techniques.
- Experience with spikeless pruning.
- Skilled in operating bucket trucks, lifts, and other tree care equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Commitment to a drug-free, safety-oriented work environment.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong team ethic.

Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
