Why This Role Is a Great Opportunity

  • Strong leadership support — You’ll partner closely with an experienced Regional Director who values communication, teamwork, and field engagement.
  • A chance to stabilize and elevate a region — Staff are eager for a consistent, communicative leader after prior turnover.
  • Impact that’s visible and meaningful — When homes are running well, staff feel supported, and residents thrive—you’ll see the results firsthand.
  • Leadership autonomy — You’ll supervise 6–7 Care Team Managers and shape the culture, expectations, and performance of the homes you lead.
  • Competitive compensation$65,000–$85,000, depending on experience.

What You’ll Do

This is a field-first leadership role, not a desk job. You will spend regular time in each home, supporting managers, ensuring compliance, and building rapport with staff and residents.

Operational & Compliance Leadership

  • Oversee 6–7 adult foster care (AFC) homes, ensuring safety, stability, and regulatory readiness.
  • Ensure documentation, MAR/EMAR, personal care logs, and incident reports are accurate and timely.
  • Complete routine audits, support licensing reviews, and address corrective action plans.
  • Maintain strong standards for the “Five Diamonds” internal performance metrics.

Team Development & Staffing

  • Supervise Care Team Managers; ensure they feel supported, coached, and accountable.
  • Strengthen staffing pipelines, orientation, training compliance, and daily operational routines.
  • Foster a culture where team members feel comfortable coming to you to solve problems proactively.

Resident Support & Program Quality

  • Ensure individuals receive proper medical care, personal care, and skill-building opportunities.
  • Work closely with homes serving individuals with high medical needs and those with IDD and mild behavioral histories.
  • Build trust with residents through presence, consistency, and genuine compassion.

Financial & Operational Performance

  • Monitor census, budgets, staffing patterns, overtime, and EBITDA targets.
  • Ensure Care Team Managers understand the financial drivers of their homes.
  • Lead monthly staff meetings and maintain strong communication with regional leadership, HR, and compliance.

What Makes Someone Successful Here

This position is ideal for someone who embodies:

  • Accountability & follow-through — You do what you say you’ll do and keep others on track.
  • Calm, steady leadership — You bring stability, build trust, and stay composed under pressure.
  • Field-first mindset — You show up in the homes regularly; you lead by example.
  • Strong communication — Transparent, proactive communication with managers and leadership is essential.
  • Operational know-how — You understand the day-to-day work in residential care and can support managers in the details.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human services–related field preferred
  • At least 2 years of supervisory/management experience in a residential or healthcare environment
  • Familiarity with AFC licensing or residential care regulations strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between assigned homes
