We are experiencing tremendous growth and in need of a Security and Smart Home Sales Representative for our Orangeburg, S.C. and surrounding areas market. Great opportunity for the right person. We offer all the latest technology involved with intrusion protection, video and home automation. We are locally owned and operated. We provide our clients with a complete sales process which includes sales consultation, design services, professional installation and local U.L. certified monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify customer needs, develop sales strategies for new sales and upgrades in order to close profitable projects.
- Develop and maintain an active lead generation plan within the assigned territory through the use of referrals, contact with local builders, cold calling, events and direct mailing.
- Provide timely and effective sales presentations to prospective customers.
- Conduct job surveys, specify the type of system required, provide a cost proposal and layout to be used for a basis for the contract.
- Assume account management responsibility including the provision and/or coordination of services (installation, customer training, etc.) to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Exhibit a thorough knowledge of all pricing procedures and strategies to ensure that contract estimates are accurate and will deliver the expected return.
- Ensure the customer requirements are confirmed and are understood.
- Develop financial justifications, prepare proposals, make presentations, and perform necessary follow-up for successful closing of the sale.
- Operate within the general policies and procedures of local branch and Corporate, guided by generally accepted alarm industry practices, local ordinances, and U.L. requirements.
- Maintain updated application knowledge of all Priority One Security product offerings and systems and have the ability to communicate and sell these systems to customers.
Experience, Skills & Education
- The ideal candidate has sales experience.
- Understanding of security system design and application, pricing, lead generation and time management.
- Must be organized, self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent in customer relationships, conflict resolution, negotiation and customer service.
- Must have a valid driver’s license issued by the State in which they reside; clean driving record (reliable vehicle required).
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check to receive Burglar Alarm License.
- College degree preferred, must have High School Diploma or GED.
