Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Security Officer to join our team and uphold the safety and security of our facilities. As a Security Officer, you will be the frontline guardian, responsible for monitoring premises, managing access points, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. Duties

• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and detect suspicious behavior or security breaches.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify hazards, secure entrances and exits, and deter theft or vandalism.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Implement loss prevention strategies by inspecting for theft or unauthorized activities and maintaining vigilance in high-risk areas.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism through conflict management techniques to de-escalate disputes peacefully.
• Provide first aid or CPR when needed, demonstrating readiness to handle medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incident reports, shift handovers, and security records accurately and promptly.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures consistently while fostering a secure environment that promotes safety awareness among staff and visitors.

Experience

• Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable; previous military or security service provides valuable skills applicable to this position.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques enhances effectiveness on the job.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; candidates should be prepared to respond confidently in medical emergencies.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and legal regulations related to safety standards is essential.
• Excellent observational skills combined with the ability to remain alert during long shifts contribute significantly to success in this role. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
