Medical Records Responsibilities
- Maintain, organize, and manage patient medical records in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies
- Accurately file, retrieve, and archive electronic and/or paper medical records
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation before filing
- Process requests for medical records, including releases of information, subpoenas, and continuity-of-care requests
- Track and log medical records activity while maintaining confidentiality
- Assist with audits, quality reviews, and compliance requirements
- Coordinate record retention and destruction according to regulatory guidelines
Central Supplies Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels of medical, clinical, and office supplies
- Order, receive, stock, and distribute supplies as needed
- Maintain stockrooms and supply areas in an organized and sanitary manner
- Check expiration dates and rotate stock appropriately
- Coordinate with vendors and manage supply-related documentation
- Track usage patterns and assist with cost-control initiatives
- Ensure supplies meet safety and infection control standards
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certificate or coursework in Health Information Management or Medical Office Administration preferred
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Experience with medical records systems and inventory management a plus
