RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living in order to promote resident independence and dignity.

Assist residents with bathing using the whirlpool/tub system, following all safety and infection-control procedures.

Prepare the whirlpool area, ensuring equipment is clean, sanitized, and functioning properly.

Safely transfer residents in and out of the whirlpool using mechanical lifts or transfer techniques.

Monitor residents during bathing for comfort, safety, and any changes in condition.

Maintain accurate documentation of bathing activities, skin observations, and any concerns.

Communicate with nursing staff regarding resident needs, skin issues, or mobility concerns.

Ensure resident dignity, privacy, and comfort throughout the bathing process.

Clean and disinfect whirlpool equipment and bathing area after each use.

Follow facility policies and state regulations related to resident care and safety.

Assist with additional CNA duties as needed, such as grooming or transporting residents.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must have current Nurse Aide certification
- Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
