Priority Footwear is a rapidly growing regional supplier of therapeutic shoes and inserts for diabetics. We have several offices in the Pacific Northwest. Our head office in Portland is looking for a full Time Administrative Specialist with experience with Insurance Prior Authorizations to join our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who enjoys learning, implementing new processes, and communicating with a diverse number of insurance companies. The ideal candidate will work out of our Portland office, this is not a remote position.
We are looking for someone who is interested in a diversified position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Insurance Prior Authorizations
- Answering phones
- Calling clinics
- Sending and receiving faxes from clinics
- General administrative duties
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a clinics Prior Authorization Department.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Have a strong understanding of medical insurance policies.
- Experience with EMR systems and EHR systems is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
- Previous medical office experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with healthcare operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many distractions.
