This is a hybrid opportunity based in downtown Salt Lake City, UT.
Job Summary:
The Product Manager leads the development and enhancement of our emergency dispatch software products. In this role, the Product Manager will work closely with stakeholders across engineering, design, sales, and customer success to define the roadmap, gather requirements, and ensure that our products meet the needs of emergency response teams globally. The Product Manager will be responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring that our products align with both customer needs and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the product development process, working with cross-functional teams to bring new features and products to market.
- Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with customer needs and business goals.
- Gather, prioritize, and translate product requirements from customers, internal teams, and market research into actionable product specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI, and QA teams to ensure product requirements are well understood and executed on time and within budget.
- Develop detailed user stories, product specs, and wireframes to guide product development.
- Monitor and assess product performance through metrics and customer feedback, driving continuous improvement and optimization.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for new features or products.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and best practices in emergency response software.
- Act as the subject matter expert for your products, providing product training and support to internal teams, partners, and customers.
- Manage product launches, including coordination with marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure successful go-to-market execution.
- Engage regularly with customer and partners to gather feedback and advocate for product improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in product management within software development, bonus if familiar with the public safety/emergency response sector.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, including Agile methodologies.
- Experience managing products from concept to launch with a proven track record of success.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with emergency response systems (911 dispatch, CAD software, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with project management tools like Microsoft 365, azure, etc.
- Ability to travel occasionally for customer visits, conferences, or meetings.
