About the Opportunity
A Fortune 500 IT Services and IT Consulting company is looking for a paralegal with 3 years' experience with Administrative Law & Regulatory Litigation (Litigation, Arbitration & Disputes) for a 12 month engagement starting as soon as possible.
The work will involve reviewing legal documents; fact gathering; drafting legal documents of basic to moderate complexity; maintaining and updating files; accessing and updating online databases; monitoring case schedules and filing deadlines; drafting correspondence and pleadings; and various administrative duties.
Key Details
- Location: Hybrid, on site in Armonk, NY 3 days per week, remote 2 days per week
- Schedule: Full - time (40 hours per week)
- Duration: 12 months
- Compensation: $50-60 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Document & Case Management: Review legal documents, maintain and update case files, and manage online databases and document repositories.
- Fact Development & Research: Conduct fact gathering, background research, and compile case chronologies and evidence summaries.
- Drafting & Filing: Draft correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents of basic to moderate complexity; monitor case schedules and filing deadlines; assist with court filings (including e-filings).
- Administrative & Case Support: Handle various administrative tasks, coordinate with attorneys and external parties, track case developments, and support trial preparation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have an AA in Paralegal Studies, Paralegal or Legal Assistant Certification.
- Candidates must have at least 1 year experience in litigation. eDiscovery experience is beneficial but not required.
- Candidates must have 3 years experience in administrative office support role/ legal support field, assisting attorneys, technical skills (e.g., Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint) and ability to adapt to new technologies and software.
- Candidates must be able to work full-time.
- The work will be performed hybrid, working 43 days per week in the company’s Armonk, NY offices.
- Candidate will be employed by an Employer of Record (EOR) for the duration of the engagement.
