About the Opportunity
A Fortune 500 Financial Services Company is looking for a Regulatory Counsel with 10 years' experience for a 12 month engagement starting at the end of February 2026.
The work will involve supporting the team by providing strategic and tactical regulatory advice on products and strategy involving money transfers that extend beyond traditional point-of-sale transactions.
Key Details
- Location: On - Site London / NYC / or open to fully remote
- Schedule: full - time
- Duration: 12 month engagement
- Compensation: $16,000 - $17,500 monthly
Qualifications:
- Act as the single regulatory point of contact for Direct to Scheme (D2S) , streamlining engagement and governance.
- Lead global D2S regulatory strategy, including Phase 2 planning and execution.
- Manage local regulatory advice for scheme connections and Phase 2 build-out.
- Manage license application preparation, readiness assessments and guidance.
- Support regulator and scheme operator engagements.
- Consolidate obligations across schemes to optimize sequencing and leverage lessons learned.
- Coordinate with local counsel and compliance while owning all deliverables.
- Create global documentation for D2S regulatory strategy to ensure smooth transition post- contract.
Required:
- Candidates must be able to work full-time.
- Ideally the work will be performed on-site for 3 days per week in London. Secondly the preference would be for someone on-site in NYC. However, company is open to fully remote.
- Company's preferred pricing model is monthly with a budget of $16,000 - $17,500 USD per month.
- Candidate will be employed through an Employer of Record (EOR) for the duration of the engagement.
- You should state your bid in USD, and account for any potential taxes and exchange rate fluctuations when doing so; your rate will be set at the start of the engagement and will not fluctuate month to month.
Preferred:
- Ideally, the candidate will have experience advising organizations on requirements associated with connecting to local payment schemes.
