Responsibilities
- Operate material handling equipment such as conveyors, loaders, and forklifts safely and efficiently to move grain and other bulk materials.
- Assist with the manual handling of grain bags, pallets, and other supplies, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Support grain loading and unloading processes by coordinating with team members and monitoring quality control standards.
- Follow strict safety protocols during all operations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety procedures in food processing environments.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory levels, and equipment usage for operational tracking.
- Participate in cleaning duties and ensure the work area remains organized, safe, and compliant with safety standards in production environments.
Experience
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physical fitness is important for manual handling tasks.
- Basic math skills for measuring quantities, reading gauges, and recording data accurately.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including safety protocol adherence and equipment maintenance practices.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
