Inkjet Printer Operator (11 AM - 7 PM)

Summary:

Works with data processor and other print room operators to prepare and print clients’ data.

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload paper from printer
• Manage the printing of production jobs to meet scheduled deadlines established by management
• Keep an adequate supply of materials at the machine
• Perform preventative maintenance on printer
• Maintain accurate documentation and proper production reports and logs
• Troubleshoot printer related issues
• Perform quality checks
• Ensure jobs are set up properly
• Participates in team meetings
• Maintain a positive relationship with internal departments
• Maintain safety in the work area.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area
• Other duties may be assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Self-starter, self-motivated and self-directed with high personal standards
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing work environment
• Basic Microsoft office: Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• Detail oriented
• High speed press experience a plus
• Mechanical aptitude for continuous roll-fed devices
• Experience with high-speed, continuous roll-fed production printers

Physical and Mental Abilities:

• Climb stairs and/or ladders
• Lift boxes weighing approximately 5 to 50 pounds, such as paper and other printing supplies
• Work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines or respond to emergencies
• Differentiate between colors
• Communicate orally and in writing in an excellent manner
• Operate general office equipment (i.e., fax machine, computer, printer) stationed between 3 and 4 feet high
• Quickly and accurately access and enter information using an automated system.
• Comprehend and apply complex information
• Concentrate for prolonged periods of time
• Stand for long periods of time and ability to kneel

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Pay: $23.79 per hour
