Graphic Designer / Digital Print Technician - Part Time

Overview
The Graphic Designer / Print Technician will ensure timely fulfillment for digital printing jobs completed in-house and maintenance of printing and finishing equipment

Duties

• Graphic Design – Complete edits to customer-supplied designs and create new creative designs
• Fulfillment – Complete necessary tasks to complete in-house digital print jobs.
• Fulfillment – Preparation, delivery, and monitor of digital files sent to printers
• Fulfillment – Binding, stapling, collating and other related finishing tasks
• Fulfillment – Boxing, shrink-wrapping and other related job fulfillment tasks
• Quality – Ensure optimal quality of production, including tasks such as color matching, proper medium selection, and adequate equipment use for the task.
• Quality – Assist with planned and unplanned maintenance of all equipment
• Print Preparation – Various graphic design tasks such as minor color, layout, and miscellaneous adjustments to existing design files to ensure proper printed products
• Organization – Follow company protocol and established file structure to create and maintain usable digital customer records
• Workflow – Ensure established workflow process is maintained and required steps are completed
• Inventory management – Ensure proper equipment and supplies are available for the production schedule, and coordinate ordering of equipment and supplies as needed
• Safety – Follow best practice and documented safety protocols
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• General interest in print-related machinery
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is required

Education and Experience:

• Two years of related experience in printing/graphic design is required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a workstation
• Working with hands to fulfill print orders through the organization of paper and materials, the use of product finishing equipment, cleaning of equipment, and related tasks
• Must be able to lift up to 5-10 pounds at time

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
