Our vertically integrated platform combines sustainable materials, proprietary automation, and digital inventory to eliminate the need for warehousing and long lead times. We also lead in the development of large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) for architectural and industrial-scale components.
Role Overview:
We're seeking a driven, detail-oriented 3D Printing Summer Intern to join our production team. This role offers hands-on experience operating 3D printing systems at scale, helping to fulfill high-volume orders across various industries. You’ll work on a fast-moving shop floor with real impact on daily output and quality.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate and monitor print jobs across FDM, SLA (Formlabs), and SLS systems
- Assist with slicing, file prep, and build optimization for mass production
- CAD part design and editting
- Run QA checks on printed parts and log defects or deviations
- Help maintain printers and troubleshoot failures or downtime
- Support material swaps, surface finishing, and part handling
- Gain exposure to LFAM workflows including robotics and pellet extrusion
- Assist in improving throughput, reliability, and documentation
You’re a Good Fit If You:
- Are studying mechanical engineering, industrial design, or manufacturing tech
- Have working knowledge of CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Are curious about high-volume production, not just prototypes
- Enjoy getting hands-on with machines and solving technical problems
- Bonus: you’ve worked with filament, resin, or powder-based 3D printers before
- Extra bonus: interest in robotics or large-format printing
