Accounting Manager
Subsidiary of an International High-tech Company
Location: Wilmington, DE | Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages for corporate consolidation.
- Oversee AP/AR, cash management, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
- Process payroll and ensure payroll tax compliance.
- Handle sales tax registrations, nexus monitoring, and monthly/quarterly filings.
- Coordinate preparation of federal and state income tax filings with external tax advisors.
- Maintain GAAP-compliant financial records and strong internal controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams on inventory valuation and cost of
goods sold.
- Administer QuickBooks, including reporting, chart of accounts, and system integrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA a plus).
- 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing or high-tech.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, income tax, and sales/use tax compliance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks required; ERP experience a plus.
- Experience working with international companies preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
- Detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
