Shipping & Driver Associate (Hybrid Position)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Shipping & Driver Associate to join our team. This hybrid role combines delivery driving responsibilities with shipping, receiving, and warehouse support functions. When not completing deliveries, the associate will assist with preparing shipments, receiving inventory, organizing materials, and supporting daily warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate has experience safely operating 16-foot and 26-foot box trucks, is comfortable working in both warehouse and driving environments, and demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties

•Safely operate 16-foot and 26-foot box trucks to transport and deliver products to customers and job sites.

•Load and unload deliveries as needed.

•Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.

•Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.

•Maintain accurate delivery records and required documentation.

•Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.

•Ensure all cargo is properly secured and transported safely.

•Adhere to all company safety policies and federal, state, and local driving regulations.

•Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups.

•Keep vehicles clean, organized, and presentable.

Shipping & Warehouse Duties

•Prepare, package, and stage outgoing shipments.

•Receive, inspect, and accurately process incoming inventory and materials.

•Verify shipping documentation and maintain inventory records.

•Organize warehouse inventory and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

•Operate warehouse equipment as authorized and trained.

•Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications:

•Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

•Experience operating 16-foot and 26-foot box trucks required.

•Previous shipping, warehouse, delivery, or logistics experience.

•Ability to lift (50lbs min) and move heavy items safely.

•Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

•Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.

•Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

•Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.

•Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform warehouse duties throughout the workday.

•Ability to push and pull materials as required.

•Ability to work in warehouse and outdoor environments, including various weather conditions.

Schedule

•Full-time

•Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

•Overtime, weekends, and flexible hours may be required based on business needs.
